Dr Murugaraj qualified in 1998. His post-graduate training has provided him with extensive exposure in the field of oral surgery. Using his passion for involvement in patient care and teaching, Dr Murugaraj has tried to build an academically and clinically strong career.
He is a speaker for Thames valley and LKSS deanery (Health Education England) and conduct Hands-on Minor oral surgery courses for Dentists and deliver periodic lectures in oral surgery, including current thinking, aimed to boost confidence in oral surgical procedures.
He has recently completed a post-graduate certificate program in medical education at Cardiff university and achieved a fellowship in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education by Advanced higher education academy.
Dr Murugaraj is currently dedicating half of his time to teaching and his other half to working as a specialty doctor in oral & maxillofacial surgery (Royal Berkshire hospital Reading and West Berkshire Community Hospital Newbury) and general practice limited to oral surgery.
